Exmouth Art Group’s 80th Annual Exhibition 2026
Exmouth’s highly respected Art Group is busy preparing for it’s 80th annual exhibition, which will be held in the Ocean Suite at Ocean on Exmouth seafront. A wide range of artwork will be on display and available to purchase. It will run from Thursday 1st October to Sunday 11th October 2026, 10am to 5pm daily.
The annual event showcases the creativity of members of the Exmouth Art Group, the Exmouth Ceramic Group and Exmouth Community College Art students, ensuring a wide variety of artwork is available to view and buy. This year, we are especially proud to be celebrating our 80th anniversary, making us one of the longest running art groups in the UK.
Vanessa Coley, Exmouth Art Group’s Exhibition Co-ordinator, explains “We are rightly proud of our annual exhibition and this is a very special year for us, it being the 80th anniversary of the Group being set up in Exmouth. It is a popular and eagerly awaited event and visitors come in their thousands to view the amazing work of our members. Usually over one hundred artists choose to enter their work”.
It has become a regular event for the previous year’s winner of the public vote to select the charity that will be presented a donation from the proceeds of the raffle. Last year’s winner, Lynda Kettle has chosen FORCE, the Exeter cancer support charity who support patients and their families who are given a cancer diagnosis throughout Devon. Ceri-Jade Bastyan, community fundraising officer from FORCE has said, “I was delighted to learn that we are being supported by the Exmouth Art Group in 2026. Working at FORCE, I see firsthand the importance of donations from events such as these. With one in two of us getting cancer within our lifetime and the charity receiving no government or NHS support, it is events like this that allow us to keep supporting those who need it most”.
The guest judge for 2D work at this year’s exhibition is the local artist Gary Cook, better known as Garf, whose work can be seen on many buildings around Exmouth. 3D work will be judged by Irena Boobyer, who is a past president of the Exmouth Art Group.
The Ocean has refreshments on the ground and first floor for meals and drinks which will be open throughout the exhibition
Exmouth Art Group welcomes new members who will be able to sign up for membership at the exhibition or on their website.
