An exhibition about the global expansion of the Whimple based Whiteway's Cyder Company in the 1920s
More Information (DevonAir Radio is not responsible for external websites)
The Whiteway's Cyder Company was founded in Whimple in the 1890s, and during the early-mid 20th century grew to be one of the dominant players in the cider industry in the UK and worldwide before its decline and eventual closure in 1989. The Whimple Heritage Centre is hosting an exhibition about the growth of the company in the 1920s, focussing particularly on apple production, advertising, and the export trade. This exhibition is part of the Festival of Devon in the 1920s, a series of events and exhibitions taking place across Devon in summer 2025.
