July is National Picnic Month!

Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue service are reminding people that picnics are much safer than outdoor disposable BBQs, which can cause wildfires in Devon and Somerset

Become a ‘Wildfire Warrior’ and help raise awareness of wildfire risks and prevention. By opting for a picnic instead of a disposable BBQ or campfire, you can help save lives – including those of the wildlife that call our region home

Wildfires can cause devastation and start from just one spark or a glass bottle reflecting the sun. So, pack a picnic this month and let’s keep our beautiful landscapes safe together!
