The Staying Well Service and Freedom to Speak Up team at the South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust (SWASFT) has won two national awards at the Great British Workplace Wellbeing Awards in London.

The team won the Best Wellbeing Strategy Public Sector award, and for the second year running, the big award of the night, the prestigious, Wellbeing Company of the Year award.

The Great British Workplace Wellbeing Awards with Wellity Global, shines a spotlight on organisations positively changing the lives of the Great British workforce.

Lauren Dunn, Head of Wellbeing, Occupational Health and Freedom to Speak Guardian at the South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust, said: “We feel so privileged to provide welfare and safe spaces to our people each day through our Wellbeing and Freedom to Speak Up services.

“To receive national recognition for our wellbeing strategy within the public sector demonstrates the passion and dedication we have as a Trust to our people and their wellbeing.

“I am beyond proud of the team who day in and day out provide immediate access to support our people - they tirelessly dedicate their work life to saving and changing the lives of their colleagues.”

The team were up against over 1,000 other nominations for the awards, including major corporations, other NHS Trusts, and police services from across the UK.

At the awards evening in London in February, Lauren opened the night with a speech detailing SWASFT’s commitment to staff wellbeing to over 300 attendees.

SWASFT’s dedicated Staying Well Service is run in-house and offers all Trust staff immediate access for support with their physical, mental, social, and emotional needs.
