Beer Coastguard Rescue Team were unable to reach them on foot or by water due to the sea conditions, Sidmouth Independent Lifeboat was requested to try and get 2 cro's to the casualties by using a sledge.
A Coastguard helicopter was also requested and Rescue 924 was tasked from Newquay.
