Police were notified at approximately 2.40pm on Wednesday 5 March to reports of a collision involving two vehicles on Bridge Road, Exeter.
Police were notified at approximately 2.40pm on Wednesday 5 March to reports of a collision involving two vehicles on Bridge Road, Exeter.
Devon and Cornwall Police, Southwestern Ambulance Service Trust, and Devon & Somerset Fire and Rescue Service attended the scene.
As a result of the collision a 79-year-old local woman was believed to have suffered life-changing injuries and was taken to hospital. Fortunately, the injuries have now been deemed as minor.
Bridge Road was closed to allow for a forensic examination of the scene and to allow for the recovery of the vehicles.
Devon and Cornwall Roads Policing Team are thankful to the patience of other road users whilst emergency services worked at the scene.
