Officers investigating a report of assault in Exeter are appealing for witnesses.
A woman was walking along the Exeter Quay footpath at around 7pm on Monday 7 July when she was assaulted by an unknown man.
She was walking in the direction of Flowerpot Fields on the skatepark side of the river when a man walking the opposite direction punched her in the face as he passed.
He didn’t stop and continued walking in the direction of the city centre.
Officers are appealing for anyone who was in the area during the evening and witnessed the incident or has information which may assist us, to please report it.
