A packed programme of events is planned for the Regatta weekend kicking off on Friday 22 August, with the ‘Road Arrows’ Bicycle Display team displaying at 3pm on the Esplanade
The much anticipated Regatta Airshow will commence at 4.30pm including a display by Sidmouth Lifeboat, Wing Walkers duo, Pitts Muscle Jet Plane and a finale by the RAF Red Arrows. A Bar provided by Branscombe Brewery and a Food Court & will be open from 12 noon on the Ham. Additional Parking will be available and visitors are asked to follow the signage on entry to the town.
Saturday sees Sailing races from 10.30am, the Surf Life Saving competition, a Treasure Hunt from 11am, Knowle Gardens Teddy Bears Picnic from 2pm, performances of ‘The Sea Raiders’ at 2 and 4pm at the Ham, the return of the fancy dress Raft Race from 4pm and at 9.15pm, the Grand Pyromusical Firework Display at Port Royal.
Sunday continues with the Sidmouth Gig Regatta from 10am and Sailing Races from 10.30am. With a busy weekend of events, Sidmouth Regatta 2025 is shaping up to be the highlight of the year for both visitors and residents alike.
To help enable this event to continue, volunteer collectors are needed. If anyone is able to offer help to be part of the collections team or count later in the evening, please contact Sidmouth Town Council at towncouncil@sidmouth.gov.uk and the organising team will then be in touch. Volunteers are needed on Friday 22 August from 4pm across the seafront, Salcombe and Peak Hills and Connaught Gardens where donations will be taken through buckets and contactless payment. As a collector, you will still be able to watch the display. Without enough volunteers, the future of the event is put at risk.
