Students from Bicton College have completed a 100 mile expedition from Dorset to Bicton College.
During the last two and a half days of fairly awful weather, this group of students from the Military & Protective Services Academy at Bicton College travelled 100 miles along the treacherous coastal footpath from Studland in Dorset, back to Bicton College.
This remarkable display of hard work and dedication, supported and organised by the students themselves, has raised thousands of pounds for the RNLI and for The Royal Marines Charity and is the best possible example of the behaviours celebrated by both the RNLI & The Royal Marines.
These incredible young people have demonstrated selflessness, courage, self-discipline and cheerfulness throughout their ordeal and all of us at RNLI Exmouth salute them
A final shout-out to our very own in-house RNLI inspiration. Dougie Wright, Senior Study Programme Manager at Bicton & Exmouth RNLI volunteer crew member, has been instrumental in organising the event and ran the entire 100 miles with his students. An example to us all!
