Cranbrook’s EX5-Alive community hub has secured a significant £102,258 grant from the National Lottery Community Fund to support local engagement and development.

This funding, achieved in partnership with Inspiring Communities CIC, aims to strengthen volunteer-led, community-centered initiatives that help residents feel more actively involved in their own and others’ lives.

Inspiring Communities CIC, which specializes in empowering local groups and individuals, will help develop a resident-led social entity that organizes community-building projects and initiatives.

This resident-focused approach will focus on fostering a sense of connection among neighbors, offering capacity-building workshops, increasing access to local information, and enhancing opportunities for engagement. T

he funding will be used to guide both new and existing resident groups, allowing them to better serve community members and support meaningful connections across Cranbrook.

The project is intended not only to bring people together but also to create lasting systems that promote a stronger, more cohesive community experience for all.
