At 15:33, the volunteer crew received the call to action and promptly prepared the Inshore Lifeboat (ILB) D-805 George Bearman II for service. By 15:40, the lifeboat was launched with a team of three dedicated volunteers on board.
The lifeboat crew joined forces with the South Western Ambulance Service Trust (SWAST) and local Coastguard units, providing essential support at the scene of the incident. Thanks to the coordinated efforts of all agencies involved, the situation was resolved without further escalation.
The lifeboat returned to the Exmouth RNLI station at 16:24, where it was thoroughly washed down and readied for future service. The Exmouth RNLI continues to stand by, prepared to respond to any emergencies along the coast.
