Following on from the recent pollution incident in Exmouth, Exmouth Town Council is writing to The Rt. Hon. Steve Reed, Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs.

Exmouth Town Council finds the failings of the sewer system unacceptable and shares the views that have been expressed by many of the Town’s residents.

Exmouth Town Council continues to work with all interested parties to resolve not only the current situation, but also to ensure an appropriate sewage network is installed to cope with current and future needs.

Exmouth Town Council has written to The Rt Hon. Steve Reed, Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs inviting him to Exmouth in order that he might gain an understanding of the impact on the Town, its residents and businesses, associated with these events and to explain the Government’s plan for dealing with water companies failing to comply with the Environment Act.
