Exmouth’s historic Beacon Hotel has closed with the owners blaming a tsunami of costs.
The historic Beacon Hotel has closed for good after facing a tsunami of increased costs according to a statement released by its owners The Richardson Group.
Those people who had booked to stay at the hotel received an email to advise that their bookings would either be refunded or could be transferred to another hotel in the group, including The Grand in Torquay.
The Richardson Group which is headed by hotelier Keith Richardson purchased the Beacon Hotel back in 2017, as well as owning other hotels across the South West. The hotel has been on the market for several months with its asking price recently reduced to £1.995 million. Two other hotels in the group have also recently been put up for sale.
Those with bookings are advised to call 01803 296677 and select option 1
