It’s time to get out and about and enjoy Exeter’s rich history with a free Red Coat Guided tour of the city.
Exeter’s famous Red Coats have just released their Summer programme of tours and there’s something for everyone.
The Summer programme gets underway from Monday 1 April and runs right through until 30 September.
Guided walking tours operate daily with a wide variety of subjects charting the history of the great city of Exeter. Knowledgeable Red Coat guides bring history to life with guided tours of the city.
People can choose from a variety of tours including Exeter Old & New, Medieval Exeter, Ghosts & Legends and Exeter’s Historic Quayside. There’s also Tudor Exeter, Exeter’s City Wall, Forgotten Exeter, Royalty in Exeter, and lots more.
Most tours last 90 minutes and set off from the Hooker statue on the Cathedral Green unless otherwise stated.
There’s no need to book in advance, just turn up on the day. Tours will only operate with a minimum of two people. Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult and only assistance dogs are permitted on tours.
