Police are investigating a fatal road traffic collision near Sidmouth, which involved a car and a pedestrian on Monday and are appealing for any witnesses to come forward.
Emergency services were called to Under Lane, Harcombe, near Sidmouth at around 3.10pm on Monday 17 November, where it was reported that a pedestrian had been in collision with a black Range Rover.
The pedestrian, a 75-year-old local man, sustained life-threatening injuries and was taken to the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital, where he sadly died a few hours later. His next of kin have been informed.
Local road closures were put in place while emergency services dealt with the scene.
