A project to create mindfulness spaces at Service Headquarters and Exmouth Fire Station has been shortlisted for the Blue Light Card Foundation’s Workplace Wellbeing Fund.
The project
The project focuses on creating and enhancing dedicated mindfulness spaces, providing a quiet, outdoor sanctuary to decompress and recharge. This initiative is part of the Service's commitment to prioritising the mental health of our people, who often face high-stress and demanding situations.
The fund
The Blue Light Card Foundation’s Workplace Wellbeing Fund will support 10 initiatives that enhance the mental and emotional health of people in the blue light community by offering a £2,000 grant to winning projects.
The winners will be determined by a public vote, which closes on 10 October 2025.
Your vote
The more votes we get, the better chance we have of making these spaces happen, so please cast your vote today.
"The well-being of our staff is paramount," says Melanie Walsh, Head of Fleet and Procurement. "Being shortlisted is a huge achievement, but to bring this project to fruition, we need the support of our communities. Please, take a moment to vote - it’s a small act that could have a big impact on the lives of those who keep us safe.”
