East Devon District Council and South West Flood & Coastal are preparing a new Beach and Cliff Management Plan (BCMP) to guide how Budleigh’s coastline is managed for the future.
The plan will take an open, transparent approach, combining the latest evidence with local insight to understand how the coast is changing and explore balanced, achievable options. Further information on the project can be found by clicking the link in the comments.
Community involvement will be central, with five rounds of engagement planned to help shape the plan as it develops.
The first-drop in event will take place in December 2025, starting with local awareness and knowledge-gathering with more details on the date and location to follow soon.
