A fresh round of funding, with grants between £3,000 and £30,000, is now available to support East Devon’s small and micro businesses.
The council’s Innovation and Resilience Fund (IRF4) is a capital grant scheme funded by the UK Government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund.
Delivered by East Devon District Council (EDDC), the scheme aims to help local businesses grow, diversify, and improve their productivity.
Round four of the fund is open for Expressions of Interest (EoI), and applicants have until 4pm on Wednesday 23rd July to submit an EoI. The deadline for full bid applications is Friday, 15th August 2025, by 4pm.
Businesses can only submit a full application once their EoI has been approved. All full bids must be sent via email to irf@eastdevon.gov.uk.
Businesses can apply for capital grants to help fund innovative or growth-focused projects. Applicants must provide 30 per cent of the total project costs in match funding.
Previous rounds of the IRF have already supported more than 70 East Devon businesses with a total of £2.5million invested over the three rounds.
Past recipients include manufacturers, food producers, and creative enterprises who used the funding to purchase equipment, expand operations, or create new products.
To support potential applicants, the council has shared case studies and ran a webinar offering guidance on eligibility, how to apply, and how to strengthen proposals, which can be viewed on Youtube.
A full policy document is published on the council’s website, along with a live link to the Expression of Interest Form.
