Plans in place for protest in Exeter on Saturday 29 November

Police officers will be policing a protest in support of Palestine outside Central Station, Queen Street, Exeter, on Saturday 29 November.

Police have looked to engage with organisers, local partners and businesses, to balance the right to protest peacefully while minimising the impact on residents and businesses.

The protest is expected to convene from 1pm and disperse later in the afternoon.

They will facilitate people’s right to protest peacefully and adopt a proportionate and reactive approach, but any disorder will not be tolerated, nor will they facilitate any activity that places protestors, the public or officers at risk.

Members of the public will see an increased policing presence during this time, and officers will be deployed more widely to reassure local residents, shoppers, businesses, and everyone who should carry on benefiting from all that Exeter has to offer.
