Police appeal for information following burglary at Cranbrook

Detectives investigating a burglary in Cranbrook are appealing for anyone with doorbell and dashcam footage of any suspicious behaviour in the area to come forward.

The incident happened at a Co-op store on Younghayes Road, Cranbrook, at around 4.05am on Wednesday 4 June.

It is believed that three male suspects were involved and removed the ATM from the store.

The burglary is believed to be linked to a report of an attempted break-in at a Co-op store in Buddle Lane, Exeter, at around 3.40am, the same morning.

In both cases, two dark-coloured vehicles were seen in the areas.

A black Land Rover, believed to have been used by the suspects, was found abandoned nearby.

It is thought the men left the scene in a different black car, possibly an Audi, Mercedes or BMW, which may have false number plates.

Officers attended and a scene guard was put in place in Cranbrook which has since been lifted.

Detective Sergeant Andrew Boundy said: “We would like to hear from anybody who saw any suspicious activity in either area at the time of the different incidents.

“We would particularly like to hear from anyone who has doorbell or dashcam footage that could help to identify the second vehicle involved.”

If you have any information or dashcam/doorbell footage that could help with enquiries, please contact police via our website here or by calling 101 quoting 50250140590.
