There’s still time to become one of Exeter’s famous Red Coat Guides, with training for the latest group starting in November.
Those interested must have a passion for Exeter, enjoy walking, and talking to people.
Training for this popular volunteer position will take place between November and March, and Exeter City Council is keen to hear from anyone interested.
The award-winning Exeter Red Coat Guided Tours operate throughout the city, offering residents and visitors a chance to step back into Exeter’s history – for free!
Tours take place throughout the year at various locations on a number of different themes, ranging from Medieval Exeter to Ghosts & Legends.
Training starts next month (November), and participants will need to be able to commit to two days a week (Tuesdays and Thursdays) for the training period.
If successful, volunteers will be awarded their Red Blazer by the Lord Mayor in April.
