Two teenagers have been charged following the death of 16-year-old schoolgirl, Lucy Hill, at an Exeter nightclub.
Lucy, a student at Exmouth Community College, lost her life in December 2022 after reportedly consuming Ecstasy and collapsing at the Move venue on Exeter quay.
Authorities disclosed that during the club's 16-18 music event, several teenagers may have ingested tablets containing unidentified substances. Recently, police confirmed that two 18-year-old individuals, Taylor Rowsell from Rosebery Road, Exmouth, and James Greaves from Basset Road, Camborne, Cornwall, have been charged with involvement in the supply of Ecstasy and a class A drug. Both have been granted bail and are expected to appear before Exeter magistrates in the coming month.
Following investigations, an 18-year-old woman from Exmouth received an adult caution for her alleged involvement in the supply of a class A drug, while another 18-year-old from the same area, who was also arrested under suspicion of similar charges, will not face further action.
In response to Lucy's untimely death, a spokesperson from Exmouth Community College remembered her as a cherished member of their community, describing her as "kind, considerate, [and] beautiful," deeply mourned by peers and staff alike.
