The victim, a man in his 50s, had travelled on the 11.50pm train from Exmouth to Exeter at around 11.50pm on 7 December. When he arrived at Exeter, at around 1am on 8 December he was assaulted while waiting at the bus stop.
Detectives investigating a serious assault at Exeter St David’s railway station are today appealing for witnesses to come forward.
The victim, a man in his 50s, had travelled on the 11.50pm train from Exmouth to Exeter at around 11.50pm on 7 December. When he arrived at Exeter, at around 1am on 8 December he was assaulted while waiting at the bus stop.
Paramedics attended and he was taken to hospital where he remains in a life-threatening condition.
Three boys aged 16 and a boy aged 17 have been arrested in connection. They have been released on police bail.
