Honiton gas upgrade work makes good progress

Wales & West Utilities is progressing well with its work to upgrade the gas pipes in Honiton.

The work is vital to ensuring gas continues to flow safely and reliably to homes and businesses across the area - helping to keep people warm for decades to come.

The project has been planned in conjunction with Devon County Council and, as part of the next section of works, the following traffic management will be in place:

  • Two-way rolling traffic lights on A35 Kings Road (21 September – 11 December)
  • A road closure on the junction of Pine Park Road and Kings Road (12 – 30 October). During this time there will be no access onto Kings Road, or into Pine Park Road

The project is part of Wales & West Utilities work to invest over £775,000 million over the next few years to upgrade gas pipes across Honiton. The intensive programme of wider mains replacement works will see over 3,800 metres of gas pipes upgraded across the area as the company upgrades the critical energy infrastructure in the area to benefit local customers.
