We look ahead to this weekends local football fixtures
In local football on Saturday in the Southern league one south after Wednesday's nights 2-0 win over Cribbs FC moved them up to second place Exmouth Town have a difficult away fixture when they visit Cornish side Falmouth Town at Bickland Park, while in the Peninsula league east second placed Sidmouth Town welcome Crediton Utd to Manstone lane, bottom of the league Axminster Town host Newton Abbot Spurs at Tigers Way, Bovey Tracey FC have home advantage with the visit of third placed Okehampton Argyle to Mill Marsh lane but Honiton Town have to travel to Plymouth to take on Elburton Villa at Hayes road.
In the A & S Devon league Topsham Town visit Plymstock Utd at Dean Cross park but all our other local clubs are involved in Devon county cup games with league leaders Alphington hosting Totnes/Dartington S C at Church road, Budleigh Salterton welcome Kingsteington Athletic to Greenway lane and Elmore Utd have home advantage with the visit of Buckfastleigh Rangers to Horsdon park but Ottery St Mary have to travel to St Martins FC at Minster park and Beer Albion visit Ipplepen Athletics Moor road ground.
In the Devon and Exeter league division one Lympstone Utd travel the short distance to Duckes Meadow to play University third team and East Budleigh go to west Devon side Hatherleigh fc at their Pavilion road ground . In division 2 Exmouth Spartans welcome Broadclyst fc to the Commons ground but Dawlish Utd visit Farway Utd at their Eastlee ground while in division 3 Heavitree Utd make the journey to Halwill Utd at their Junction ground. Finally in division 7 Exe Utd visit Phoenix FC at their Uplowman ground and Exmouth Town U 25s travel to Westexe Park Rangers.
