In local football on Saturday, In the Southern league one south Exmouth Town took another small step to safety with a well deserved scoreless draw at Southern road over league leaders Frome Town, in a fairly even 90 minute's both side created scoring chance's but honours were even at the final whistle and Town can now look forward their trip to Westbury Utd on Tuesday evening.
In the Peninsula league east Sidmouth Town beat Bridport FC 1-0 away at St Mary's, Newton Abbot Spurs won 5-3 in a high scoring game against Torridgeside at Marsh lane while Teignmouth fc drew 2 all with Axminster Town at Coombe Valley.
In the A & S Devon league in the battle of the university's Exeter beat Plymouth Marjons 3-1 at Exwick sports hub while in the Devon and Exeter league premier division Alphington FC beat visitors Colyton FC 3-0 at the Chronicles with Sidmouth Town second eleven holding East Budleigh to a 2 all draw at Manstone lane in the Granson Cup.
In division two Exmouth Spartans won 3-2 at west devon side South Zeal Utd . Finally In division 6 Otterton FC won 4-2 at Exeter Royals with Railway FC beating City Raiders 3-1 at Cowick Barton.
