In local football on Saturday, Exmouth Town were held to a frustrating 0-0 draw by visiting Westbury Utd at Southern road in the Southern league one south.
In a game very much of two half's the visitors had the best of the first and saw several changes go bagging and although town improved after the break they were still below par and could not find their decisive killer instinct.
In the peninsula league east Honiton Town beat visitors Elmore in a close fought encounter by 2 goals to 1 at the memorial ground but Teignmouth were beaten by the same score at Dartmouth Utd .
In the FA Vase Axminster town lost 4-0 to Western premier League side Barnstaple Town at mill road , Sidmouth Town were thrashed 6-0 by Crediton Utd at Manstone lane but Cullompton Rangers progress to the next round with a comfortable victory at Cornish side Callington Utd by 3 goals to 1 .
In the A & S Devon league Ottery St Mary were beaten 2-1 by local rival's Budleigh Salterton at Washbrook Meadow , bottom club Topsham Town were well beaten 5-0 at the Coronation ground by visiting North Molton but league leaders Beer Albion had a narrow 1-0 home victory over Thorverton at Stovar lane.
Finally in the Devon and Exeter leagues , in division one Lympstone Utd beat Topsham Town reserves 2-0 at the marine camp , Exmouth Spartan's won 2-1 at Feniton in division 2 and Exmouth Rovers thrashed visitors Tedburn st Mary second eleven by 9 goals to 0 at the Commons ground
