A round up of this weekends local football results
In local football on Saturday after their 4-1victory in the F A Trophy last weekend Exmouth Town continued their good form with a confidence 2-0 win over league leaders Yate town at Southern road with goals from captain Mike Landricombe and Ben Griffith's and are now well placed in the playoff position.
In the Peninsula league east Sidmouth Town comfortably beat fellow promotion hopefuls Okehampton Argyle 3-0 at Manstone lane, Cullompton Rangers remain top after a 3-0 victory over bottom of the league Axminster Town but Honiton Town lost 2-1 at home to Plymouth side Elburton Villa, Teignmouth fc went down 2-0 at new boys Middlezoy Rovers and Newton Abbot Spurs lost ground on the leading pack with a surprise 3-1 defeat at Marsh Road to visitors Bridport afc .
In the A&S Devon league leaders Alphington fc beat visiting Budleigh Salterton 3-1 at Church road, Topsham Town won 1-0 against Plymouth university side Marjons at the Coronation ground and Elmore Utd were beaten 3-0 at north devon side Appledore FC but Beer Albion lost 3-2 at Long Lane to visitors Bere Alston Utd in the Devon premier cup .
In the Devon and Exeter premier league Upottery were well beaten 6-0 at North Devon side Lapford and Colyton were beaten 3-1 at Lords Meadow by Crediton Utd reserves.
In division one Lympstone Utd drew 1 all at Ottery St Mary seconds at Washbrook Meadow while in division 2 Dawlish Utd won 2-0 at Witheridge but Seaton Town lost 2-0 at Colyford road to Beer Albion second eleven .
In division 3 Tipton St John lost 1-0 to Alphington reserves at the playing fields and finally in division 7 Axmouth Utd FC were well beaten 4-1 by Phoenix Utd at Roman road and Exe Utd lost 2-1 at Exeter side Priory FC .
