In local football on Saturday in the Southern League One South Exmouth Town had to settle for a disappointing home draw against lowly Slimbridge AFC at Southern Road.
After Jordan Harris gave them an early lead the visitors came back with goals either side of the break to take a 2-1 advantage but Ace High secured Town at least a point with a goal 5 minutes before time.
In the Peninsula League East Axminster Town beat visiting Dartmouth Utd 1-0 at Tigers Way and Sidmouth Town also won 1-0 on their trip to Holsworthy while Teignmouth FC had a convincing 2-0 victory over visitors Honiton Town at Coombe Valley and Crediton Utd kept up the pressure on league leaders Okehampton Argyle with a close 3-2 win at Torridgeside FC but Cullompton Rangers were thumped 6 -1 at Newton Abbot Spurs.
In the A&S Devon, League leaders Beer Albion had a comfortable 3-0 victory over Ottery St Mary at Stovar Long Lane and Budleigh Salterton beat Fremington AFC away by 2 goals to 0 with Topsham Town knocking Barnstaple Town Reserves out of the league cup by 4 goals to 2 at Mill Road.
In the Devon and Exeter Leagues Dawlish Utd lost at home to Kentisbeare 1-0 at Leisure Centre while in Division One Lympstone Utd easly beat Newton St Cyres 3-0 at the Marine Camp and Upottery won by the same 3-0 scoreline at East Budleigh.
In Division Two Dunkeswell Rovers beat visiting Tipton St John 1-0 at Heavitree and finally Exmouth Rovers had the better over Phoenix Utd in a high scoring game winning by 7 goals to 2 at Uplowman.
