In local football on Saturday in the Southern league one south Exmouth Town continued their winning form with a confident 2-0 victory over visiting Shaftesbury at Southern road with goals from Callum Shipton and Tom Bath to keep them in second spot in the league.
In the Peninsula league east Cullompton Rangers remain top after a 2-1 win over visiting Newton Abbot Spurs at Speeds Meadow, Okehampton Argyle go second with a confidence 4-1 victory over Honiton Town at Simmons park and Sidmouth Town keep up the pressure on the top two beating Bishops Lydeard 2-1 at Manstone lanewith Bovey Tracey winning 5-2 in north devon over Torrington FC.
In the Parsons Cup Teignmouth fc move to the next round with a 3-2 victory over Bodmin Town at Priory park while in the A & S Devon league all our local sides involved in County Cup games with leaders Alphington fc winning 3-1 over visiting Upottery at Church road, Budleigh Salterton were well beaten 4-0 in south devon by Dartmouth Utd but Topsham Town have to replay after drawing 2 all with Beer Albion at the Coronation ground .

In the Devon and Exeter league premier division Colyton fc won 5-2 at Clyst Valley and in division one Lympstone Utd beat Newtown second eleven 3-2 at Station road and East Budleigh won 2-1 over visiting Newton StCyres at the recreation ground. In division 2 Exmouth Spartans were beaten 3-0 by Beer Albion reserve's at the commons ground and Seaton Town lost 7-0 to South Zeal Utd at Colyford road. Finally in division 7 Exe Utd beat Axmouth Utd 3-2 at Roman road while Exmouth Town U23 drew 1 all at Cranbrook Utd .
