A round up of this weekend local rugby matches
In local rugby on Saturday although the weather was not good and there was very heavy conditions most games went ahead.
In the Regional one south west Exmouth Cockles were unfortunately beaten 33-17 at second placed Devonport Services Rectory field but take credit for never given up in a game where the score line slightly flattered the host.
In the Regional two division Crediton continued to chase top spot with a convincing 45-27 victory over visitors North Petherton at Exhibition road and Cullompton remain a close third beating fellow Devonians Newton Abbot with a comfortable 45-19 win at Stafford Park. Teignmouth were narrowly beaten 23-18 at Somerset side Burnham on Sea and Topsham put up a credible performance before loosing 37-20 at league leaders Wadebridge Camels while Sidmouth's game at Chard was postponed until 25th November.
In the Counties one Western West Tiverton easily beat bottom club Wiveliscombe by 58-6 at Bolham Road while in Counties two Devon Withycombe won the local Derby game 18 -0 over Exmouth Quins at Imperial Road and Honiton beat visiting Plymouth Argaum by 39 points to 22 at Allhallows but Exeter Saracens game with Barnstaple Athletic was also postponed until the 25th of November.
Finally in Counties Devon North and East Exeter Athletic beat Teignmouth seconds in a close fought game 24-19 at Bitton Park and Okehampton 2s won 18-5 against Tiverton Quins at Oaklands Park.
