In local rugby this weekend several fixtures were postponed due to COVID 19 but in the South West Premier League Exmouth Cockles were hoping to follow last Saturdays narrow victory at Ivybridge but were somewhat surprisingly beaten at home to Launceston. The visitors built up a 22-6 lead at half-time but the Cockles stormed back after the break and looked to have secured a 25 to 22 win only for the Cornish all blacks to score an unconverted try at the death giving them a 27 points to 25 victory.
