In the last round of local rugby fixtures on Saturday Exmouth Cockles finished on a win beating bottom club Okehampton by 33-29 at Oakland's. The home side took an early lead and were 29-5 up at the break but the Cockles gained the upper hand after half time scoring 28 unanswered points.
Exeter University confirmed their promotion to the national league's with an easy away victory over Cornish side Launceston by 59 points to 24.
In the South West One Sidmouth had a narrow win over visitors Keynsham by 19-15 at the Blackmore Ground and in the Western Counties Division, Teignmouth had an easy home victory over bottom club Honiton at Bitton Park running out winners by 66-21 but Tiverton had a harder than thought game against lowly visitors Falmouth but eventually won 38-29.
Finally in the Devon and Cornwall League Topsham were given a home win when Liskeard/Looe failed to raise a side and Cullompton hammered Cornish side Veor by 70 points to 7 at Stafford Park but Withycombe narrowly lost to Bude at Raleigh Park going down 19-16.
All promotion and relegations have yet to be decided due to League restructuring.
