The triumphant Exeter City Women’s team were praised for their achievements at a civic Victory Reception hosted by the Lord Mayor at Exeter’s historic Guildhall.
The reception was held to celebrate their amazing success last season when the team became the FA Women’s National League Division One South West Champions.
It meant Exeter City Women secured promotion to the third tier of women’s football for the first time in the club’s history.
To recognise the achievement on behalf of the city, players and staff from Exeter City Women were invited to take part in the Victory Reception at the Guildhall, hosted by the Lord Mayor of Exeter Cllr Kevin Mitchell.
The players were presented with a special commemorative badges by the Lord Mayor, who praised the success of the team and wished them well for the season ahead.
