A closure order has been granted for a business on Bank Street in Teignmouth.
This is a direct result of being caught selling counterfeit tobacco products on several occasions by Trading Standards.
JR Mini Market must now remain closed for three months. Failure to comply with the order can result in arrest and prosecution.
Unlike regulated tobacco products, counterfeit and illegal products are not subject to quality control so pose higher health risks and have a negative impact on local legitimate businesses.
