Torbay Council have been alerted to scam callers posing as Torbay Council Officers, requesting payment of an annual license fee.
Torbay Council will not ring you to take payment of annual license fees. If you are due to pay a license fee, they will send you an invoice.
If you receive any phone call requesting payment of your annual fee, please refuse to pay. If you are unsure if your annual fee is due, you can contact them at licensing@torbay.gov.uk .
If you do receive a suspicious call asking for payment of your annual license fee, please capture the caller’s number and any details they provide such as name or bank details so the Council can investigate.
