The University of Exeter has been named University of the Year 2024 at the Multicultural Apprenticeship Awards in recognition of its efforts to drive social mobility through degree apprenticeships.

Two teenagers have been sentenced after pleading guilty to being concerned in the supply of drugs to teenagers, including a 16-year-old schoolgirl who died from the effects.

Police Constable Sean Tooley aged 32, from South Devon, is charged with two counts of making a false statement in order to procure or renewal of a firearm or shot gun certificate and is due to appear at Exeter Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday 5th November.
